At the start of 2026, GROUPE IDEC is strengthening its teams with the arrival of Adamo SCRENCI. A global expert in hydrogen and renewable energy, he will contribute to structuring and enhancing the Group’s expertise in these key areas, supporting the decarbonisation of real estate. Adamo SCRENCI will also take the lead of IDEC GROUP ITALIA.
As of Thursday, January 15, 2026, Adamo SCRENCI joins GROUPE IDEC as Chief Executive Officer of GROUPE IDEC ENR and IDEC GROUP ITALIA. His appointment reflects GROUPE IDEC’s ambition to expand its activities in the renewable energy sector to support regions and businesses, accelerate its growth in Italy, and strengthen its position in the strategic data center segment.
With more than 20 years of experience in hydrogen and renewable energy, Adamo SCRENCI brings recognized expertise in strategy, international business, and energy transition. Known for his ability to bridge advanced technologies with commercial execution, he has held leadership positions within major global industrial and energy groups.
He spent nearly eight years at AIR LIQUIDE, where he progressed from engineering roles to commercial leadership. As Vice President of Advanced Technologies Sales and Marketing, he contributed to the development and commercialization of large-scale industrial solutions in industrial gases, hydrogen, and energy transition.
He then joined THYSSENKRUPP as Global Director of Business Development for green hydrogen and decarbonisation, playing a key role in positioning the group as a major player in electrolysis and green chemistry technologies.
In 2020, he joined TOTALENERGIES, where he led the hydrogen business, overseeing strategies and projects for clean hydrogen integrated into refining, mobility, and renewable energy ecosystems.
More recently, he served as Vice President Market Strategy at NEXTCHEM, focusing on the deployment of low-carbon technologies, green molecules, and circular solutions through strategic partnerships, technology licensing, and international expansion.
His pragmatic vision, commitment to a realistic energy transition, and people-focused, collaborative approach will be valuable assets for the development and success of the entire GROUPE IDEC.
