FAUBOURG PROMOTION and IDEC have just handed over the keys to a 36,000 m² warehouse in Fos-sur-Mer (Bouches-du-Rhône). This project developed for ADEO by the two subsidiaries of the IDEC GROUP, represents the first phase of a logistics park, which will stretch out over 128,000 m².

Taking up the challenge

The teams from FAUBOURG PROMOTION and IDEC came together to develop, design and build a new logistics project for ADEO in Fos-sur-Mer. They have just handed over the keys after six months of hard work. In spite of the tight deadline, the two subsidiaries of the IDEC GROUP made the first 36,000 m² phase available. It now offers ADEO six dry units, a two-storey office block, a charging station and a guard post.

A large-scale operation

The hand over of this warehouse represents the first stage of this huge logistics project, which will ultimately stretch out over 128,000 m². Thanks to its exceptional location close to the Fos-sur-Mer container port, this project aims to cope with the growth in business for ADEO, a MULLIEZ family firm, which includes such well known chains as WELDOM, BRICORAMA and LEROY MERLIN. Work is due to start on the second phase in the spring. It will include fifteen dry units and three office blocks.

A strong environmental approach

Thanks to their know-how in constructing sustainable buildings, IDEC and FAUBOURG PROMOTION once again put in place some special measures to favour a virtuous and energy-saving building. The project aims to obtain BREEAM Good level certification. Solar panels covering all of the roofing for these two warehouses measuring 128,000 m² is also planned representing a total output of 9 MW, allowing them to generate 13,500 MWh, or the equivalent to the average consumption of a town of 11,000 inhabitants.
