Decarbonisation & Solarisation of Industrial Roofs

A long-standing partner of Polepharma through its subsidiary IDEC SANTÉ, GROUPE IDEC maintains a lasting relationship of trust with France’s leading cluster dedicated to the (bio)pharmaceutical sector.

As part of this ongoing collaboration, GROUPE IDEC co-hosted a webinar on February 5 alongside Polepharma and Heliup, focusing on environmental performance and the solarisation of existing industrial buildings.

This session was aimed at industrial and logistics stakeholders looking to accelerate the decarbonisation of their infrastructure while ensuring business continuity.

Solar solutions tailored to the constraints of existing sites

Opening the webinar, Guillaume Deroudille, Head of Pharmaceutical Affairs and Environmental Performance, in charge of the Polepharma GIPSO network, outlined the directives and roadmap of the pharmaceutical sector.

Laurent Bichard then presented the environmental, energy, and regulatory challenges, along with the broader context, impacts, and solutions available to help preserve the competitiveness of energy-intensive industries.

This discussion provided a natural transition to GROUPE IDEC’s new offering for the renovation and solarisation of existing buildings, developed through its subsidiary GROUPE IDEC ENR SOLAR.

This global approach transforms industrial rooftops into real drivers of economic and environmental performance, through photovoltaic solutions tailored to the technical constraints of buildings in operation.

Heliup: high-performance photovoltaic technology for renovation projects

Maryline Joanny’s contribution highlighted Heliup’s solution—an ultra-light photovoltaic technology that is innovative, certified, insurable, durable, and delivers performance equivalent to traditional panels.

This solution is particularly suited to roofs with low load-bearing capacity, expanding the possibilities for solarising existing buildings without requiring significant structural modifications.

A concrete case study

The webinar was also enriched by a feedback session from Benjamin Ozanne, Head of Facilities, Energy Management and Site Security at Aptar Pharma. He shared his group’s decarbonisation challenges and one of the solutions implemented, involving a multi-site solarisation project.

He notably emphasized how Heliup provides an ideal solution for 20,000 sqm of roof space at one of the group’s sites, where buildings are subject to significant load constraints.

Through this webinar, IDEC SANTÉ and GROUPE IDEC E.N.R. SOLAR confirm the strength of the Group’s complementary expertise in supporting industrial and logistics stakeholders in operating and adapting their real estate assets to current energy and environmental transition challenges.

GROUPE IDEC would like to thank Polepharma for organizing this event and for its continued trust, as well as all speakers and participants committed to building a more efficient and responsible industry.
