Innovative architecture with a 17-metre cantilever
The AMMONITE project developed by FAUBOURG PROMOTION, the planner and developer in the IDEC GROUP, has just seen its building completed after twelve months of work. This project with its special architecture designed by the architect Yves SIMON, ZUO ARCHITECTURE, stands out with its 17-m cantilever and large glass surfaces, which are setting new standards for service sector properties.
A highly technical construction
This three storey building is based around a metallic structure supported by guy wires. This technique is usually used for engineering structures and required special attention from the SEQUABAT teams who were in charge of managing the building work. The erection of this building in the heart of a city implied careful attention to its organisation because it was a difficult plot to work on because of a HV cable overhead, the city’s tram and massive pipes in the ground.
Carrying out the interior work
After handing over the keys to the building to FAUBOURG PROMOTION, the teams from SEQUABAT worked with some of the final occupants on the interior layout of their work areas. That was in particular the case for premises for the CARSAT (retirement fund) which covers 850 m² and the Vialla & Dossa legal office covering around 300 m². The architects from SEQUABAT helped their clients personalise their offices finding the best possible layout and attractive colours and materials.

The successful handover of this project illustrates perfectly how firms work together within the IDEC GROUP. The two subsidiaries of the Group worked together from the birth of the project to build this bold architectural project. After the project was set up, the teams from FAUBOURG PROMOTION handed it over to the teams from SEQUABAT who carried out the construction work. This joint effort underlines the ability of the IDEC GROUP to work with its clients to find an all-round solution from the planning and development, through the investment, design and construction phases.
