IDEC, leader in the design and construction of turnkey projects involving logistical, service sector and industrial premises, has just gone beyond the symbolic threshold of 1.5 million square metres of certified property. This symbolic barrier once again illustrates the leadership of IDEC in the design and construction of all sorts of efficient building projects, which are energy saving and sustainable.

1.5 million square metres

At the start of the year, IDEC has gone beyond 1.5 million m² of certified properties with the recent handover of several logistics projects certified for its clients across France. With BREEAM, LEED, or HQE labelling, IDEC has handed over all sizes of operations with certification, such as the platform built for PROLOGIS in Moissy-Cramayel (Seine-et-Marne), the warehouse for XPO LOGISTICS in Fos-sur-Mer (Bouches-du-Rhone) and the one for CARREFOUR in Bourges (Cher).

Innovative solutions

To achieve this, the Environment Unit at IDEC and its heating and energy engineers and certification specialists work each day to offer the best possible design of building to their clients, in order to limit their environmental impact. Improved insulation, intelligent lighting, energy monitoring, the enhancement of biodiversity, solar panels and photovoltaic cells… IDEC and its R&D unit are constantly seeking out innovative solutions to offer clients sustainable projects, which save energy.

Impressive awards

These measures have been rewarded with various labels and awards confirming high added value, such as Excellent level BREEAM certification currently being obtained for a logistics platform in Ile de France and the HQE Sustainable Building Award obtained for the INTERMARCHE project in Bourges. Last year, the logistics platform built by IDEC was awarded the top prize in its category by CERTIVEA, a subsidiary of the Scientific and Technical Building Centre (CSTB) confirming the work done on the design and construction of an energy saving building, which favours the health and well-being of the occupants.
